Mannol selection of 5W-30. The choice just getting better and better.[English]

Many people must be wondering why there are so many 5W-30 options from Mannol? The answer is it is closely related to the specific Standards and Specifications required by the cars you are using.

For example, for Malaysian & Asian cars, there is no problem to use any of the 5W-30s we offered. This is because most Asian cars such as Proton, Perodua, Honda, Toyota and others use the API standards such as SL, SM, SN  as the main specifications. For example, the Perodua Myvi (2005-2015) only requires the use of 5W-30 viscousity engine oil with API SM/SN standards only. Mannol 5W-30 oil meets the API SN standards (SN Plus for some models). According to the API specifications, whichever is the latest API, for example the SN Plus, it will be backward compatible with the previous API (for example the SM, SL). That is why there is no problem to use API SP on cars that have API SL specifications though. Engine oil innovates and evolves without compromising on the protection required by the engine.

For ACEA, you need to follow the specifications listed such as whether it is 𝗔𝟯/𝗕𝟯, 𝗔𝟯/𝗕𝟰, 𝗔𝟱/𝗕𝟱, 𝗖𝟮, 𝗖𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝗻 etc. Each of these ACEA standards has parameters that are important for your vehicle. For example, A3/𝗕𝟯 is a 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝗧𝗛𝗦 type oil; more to protection. While 𝗔𝟱/𝗕𝟱 is a type of Low 𝗛𝗧𝗛𝗦, more towards fuel economy.

As for the 𝗖 standard, it refers to engines that have 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘂 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (EAT) Device such as EGR, DPF. Here it is important to choose oils that follow the ACEA specifications set to avoid contamination or damage to the Catalyst or EAT. It takes into account the limit limit (𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱-𝗔𝘀𝗵, 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 & 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗽𝗵𝘂𝗿) required by the engine. Each engine is designed differently according to the needs and type of vehicle produced. That is why it is important to refer to the manufacturer's manual (manual book) of your vehicle.

But when your vehicle needs specific standards, especially European cars (Continental), then this is where the 5W-30 Mannol variety was born. Refer to your manual book. You can see after the 5W-30 Viscosity Grade and API, there will be other important key standards such as and manufacturer standards called Original Equipments Manufacturer(𝗢.𝗘.𝗠).

Apart from that standard, there is another most important standard which is 𝗢.𝗘.𝗠 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱. This is what many people do not care about and sometimes do not even participate, causing the engine to break down and not perform as desired. There are various O.E.M specifications available. If you look at the picture above, there are 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗹 𝟳𝟳𝟬𝟳 𝗢.𝗘.𝗠 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗱 & 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗼. This means the oil has been self -tested by Ford and Volvo and given specific certification to those standards. If you look at the product description, it says: "𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗔 𝗔𝟱 / 𝗕𝟱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗗-𝗠𝟮𝗖𝟵𝟭𝟯-𝗗 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟵𝟭𝟯-𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟵𝟭𝟯-𝗕 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀".

There are many more actual O.E.M specifications such as., 𝗠𝗕𝟮𝟮𝟵.𝟱𝟭, 𝗩𝗪𝟱𝟬𝟱.𝟬𝟬, 𝗕𝗠𝗪 𝗟𝗟𝟬𝟰, 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗛𝗧𝗢-𝟬𝟲. This is where the importance of manufacturer manual book included on each car. Follow the recommendations recommended by the manufacturer because they have tested your car engine according to the specifications listed.

Consult and follow your car manufacturer's manual. Don't be told to use 5W-30, you go use 15W-50 because you taken advice from a friends or the myths of the automotive world.
